Team messaging
Slack integration
arteemis posts what needs your team's attention in the Slack channel you choose, in your workspace's language: new replies from prospects, calls to make, accepted LinkedIn invitations and pipeline moves. A campaign message held for approval arrives with Approve and Reject buttons, so a teammate settles it without leaving Slack.
What it does
What arteemis posts in Slack
- A new reply, by email or on LinkedIn: the contact's name and company, the first 600 characters of the reply, the campaign, and a button to open the conversation in arteemis.
- A message held for approval: its subject and text, the campaign, and the Approve and Reject buttons.
- A call to make: the contact and the task, with a button to open the tasks in arteemis.
- An accepted LinkedIn invitation, with the campaign.
- A pipeline move: the contact and the stage they moved to.
What arteemis reads from Slack
- The channels the arteemis app can see, so you can pick one.
- When someone clicks Approve or Reject: who clicked, and the email address of their Slack account, to check they are a member of your arteemis workspace.
Each kind of post can be switched off. The buttons only work for a person whose Slack email address is the one of an active member of the arteemis workspace allowed to approve messages; anyone else gets a message only they can see, and nothing is sent.
Requirements
- The owner or admin role in your arteemis workspace: only they connect integrations.
- A Slack account allowed to add apps to your Slack workspace. Some Slack workspaces ask an admin to approve a new app first.
- The access arteemis asks for: post messages (chat:write, chat:write.public), list channels (channels:read, groups:read), read users and their email address (users:read, users:read.email).
Set it up
Connect
- 1Sign in to arteemis and open Settings > Integrations.
- 2Under Team messaging, choose Connect on the Slack card.
- 3Slack opens: check that the right Slack workspace is selected, then choose Allow.
- 4You land back on Settings > Integrations. The card reads Connected to, followed by your Slack workspace's name.
Choose what to post
- 1Choose Settings on the Slack card. Each change is saved at once.
- 2Pick the Channel. Nothing is posted before a channel is chosen.
- 3Under Post, keep or switch off each kind: Replies, Calls and messages to approve, Accepted invitations, Pipeline moves. All four are on at first.

Disconnect
- In Settings > Integrations, choose Settings on the Slack card, then Disconnect at the bottom, and confirm.
- arteemis gives its Slack token back to Slack and deletes the connection and its settings. Nothing more is posted; the messages already posted stay in the channel.
- If the app is removed from Slack instead, the card reads Access revoked and offers Reconnect.
Troubleshooting
- The channel I want is not in the list
- A private channel is listed once the arteemis app is a member of it: add the app to the channel in Slack, then open the settings again. Archived channels are not listed.
- Nothing is posted
- Check that a channel is chosen and that the kind of event is switched on. A task to answer a reply is not posted on its own: the reply itself already is.
- Approve or Reject answers that I am not a member
- The email address of your Slack account must be one you sign in to arteemis with, as an active member of the workspace allowed to approve messages.
- Approve or Reject answers that the message was already handled
- A teammate settled it first, in Slack or in arteemis.
- The card reads Access revoked
- The app was removed from Slack or its token was revoked. Choose Reconnect and allow access again: posting resumes.
