monday CRM integration

arteemis writes your prospecting on the monday CRM boards you choose: the contact and their company, every email and LinkedIn message sent and every reply as an update, accepted invitations, and a deal when you move someone in your pipeline. In the other direction, it imports the contacts of a board and keeps the people and companies of your deals out of your campaigns.

What it does

What arteemis writes to monday CRM

  • The contact: the item of your contacts board with the person's email address, else a new one, with the email and phone columns filled.
  • Their company: the item of your companies board with the company's name, else a new one, linked to the contact.
  • Each email, LinkedIn message and reply, and each accepted invitation, as an update on the contact's item.
  • A pipeline move in arteemis, as an item of your deals board with the stage label you map it to, linked to the contact and the company.
  • Never an email address arteemis knows to be invalid or bounced, and never how an address was verified.

What arteemis reads from monday CRM

  • Your boards, to choose the contacts, companies and deals boards, and the boards with an email column to import.
  • The deals of your deals board: a label marked done is won, any other is open. Their contacts and companies come through the boards' connect columns, a company's domain from its link column.
  • The labels of the deals board's stage column, to map the arteemis stages to them.

The people and companies of your deals stay out of your campaigns. They are read once an hour (and at once when you connect), by email address and by company domain, never by the domain of a free mailbox such as gmail.com. monday has no lost flag, so the people of lost deals stay out too. Messages you write yourself from the inbox are not affected.

Requirements

  • The owner or admin role in your arteemis workspace: only they connect integrations.
  • A monday account with CRM boards: a contacts board with an email column, and, for deals, a deals board with a status column for the stage. A companies board is optional.
  • The access arteemis asks for: your account and its users (read), workspaces (read), boards (read and write), updates (write).

Set it up

Connect

  1. 1Sign in to arteemis and open Settings > Integrations.
  2. 2Under CRM, choose Connect on the monday CRM card.
  3. 3monday opens: sign in if asked, then authorize the access arteemis asks for.
  4. 4You land back on Settings > Integrations. The card reads Connected to, followed by your monday account's name.

Choose the boards and the settings

  1. 1Choose Settings on the monday CRM card. Each change is saved at once.
  2. 2Under Boards, pick the Contacts board and, if you have one, the Companies board. Nothing is written before the contacts board is chosen.
  3. 3Under Deals, pick your deals board as the Pipeline, then for each arteemis stage the label it becomes. A stage left on Not written writes no deal.
  4. 4Keep customers and open deals out of campaigns is on at first; the sheet says how many addresses and domains are kept out.
  5. 5Under Import a list, pick a board with an email column and choose Import: its contacts arrive in the arteemis list of the same name, up to 20,000 contacts.

Disconnect

  • In Settings > Integrations, choose Settings on the monday CRM card, then Disconnect at the bottom, and confirm.
  • arteemis revokes its monday token and deletes the connection, its settings, the list of items it made and the addresses and domains it kept out. Nothing more is written to your boards, and their deals no longer keep anyone out of your campaigns.
  • What was already written on your boards stays there, and contacts imported from a board stay in arteemis.

Troubleshooting

Nothing is written to monday
The contacts board is not chosen yet. Pick it under Boards in the settings.
The person of a lost deal is still kept out
monday has no lost flag: every deal not marked done counts as open. Remove the person from the deal, or the deal from the board, to let them back into campaigns.
Moving a contact creates no deal
Check that a deals board is chosen as the pipeline, that it has a status column, and that the arteemis stage is mapped to a label.
The card reads Access revoked
monday refused the token. Choose Reconnect and authorize again.
