Scheduling
Cal.com integration
When one of your contacts books a meeting through Cal.com, arteemis records it on the contact and moves their deal to the stage you choose. Entering the pipeline ends the contact's sequences, so nobody receives a follow-up after booking. Cal.com is connected with an API key of your account, on cal.com or on your own Cal.com.
What it does
What arteemis does with a booking
- Each attendee is matched to a contact of your workspace by email address, then by an address they wrote from. Nobody is created for an address the workspace does not know.
- The booking is recorded in the contact's activity, with the meeting's name and time.
- The contact's deal moves to the chosen stage (the meeting stage at first), never backwards and never past it. A contact not in the pipeline enters it there, which ends their live sequences.
- A rescheduled meeting counts as a booking. A cancellation is recorded and moves nothing.
What arteemis sets up in Cal.com
- A webhook for bookings created, canceled and rescheduled, signed with a secret of its own.
The API key is checked, then sealed: arteemis uses it only to read your account and to create or delete its webhook. Each call from Cal.com is checked against the webhook's secret before anything is recorded.
Requirements
- The owner or admin role in your arteemis workspace: only they connect integrations.
- A Cal.com API key, made in Cal.com under Settings > Developer > API keys (it starts with cal_).
- A self-hosted Cal.com must be reachable over https on a public address.
Set it up
Make an API key
- 1In Cal.com, open Settings > Developer > API keys, create a key and copy it.
Connect
- 1Sign in to arteemis and open Settings > Integrations.
- 2Under Scheduling, choose Connect on the Cal.com card.
- 3Paste the key in API key. For a self-hosted Cal.com, give its address in Self-hosted address; leave it empty for cal.com. Then choose Connect.
- 4arteemis checks the key and creates its webhook. The card reads Connected to, followed by your Cal.com account.
Choose the stage
- 1Choose Settings on the Cal.com card.
- 2Under When a meeting is booked, move the deal to, keep the meeting stage, pick another one, or choose Do not move to only record the booking. The change is saved at once.
Data exchanged
| Data | Direction | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Webhook | arteemis to Cal.com | Made when you connect, for bookings created, canceled and rescheduled; deleted when you disconnect. |
| Bookings | Cal.com to arteemis | Attendees' email addresses, meeting name, start time, whether it is a reschedule or a cancellation. |
| Account | Cal.com to arteemis | Your Cal.com user, to check the key and name the connection. |
Disconnect
- In Settings > Integrations, choose Settings on the Cal.com card, then Disconnect at the bottom, and confirm.
- arteemis deletes its webhook in Cal.com, then the connection, its key and its settings. Bookings already recorded stay on the contacts.
- The key itself stays valid in Cal.com: delete it there under Settings > Developer > API keys.
Troubleshooting
- The key is refused
- Check that you copied the whole key, that it was not deleted in Cal.com, and, for a self-hosted Cal.com, that the address is right and reachable over https.
- A booking was not recorded
- No attendee's email address is one of your contacts' addresses, or one they wrote from. arteemis creates nobody from a booking.
- A cancellation did not move the deal back
- That is by design: nothing in arteemis moves a deal backwards. The cancellation is recorded on the contact.
