Attio integration

arteemis writes your prospecting in Attio as it happens: the person and their company, every email and LinkedIn message sent and every reply as a note, accepted invitations, and a deal when you move someone in your pipeline. In the other direction, it imports your Attio lists of people and keeps the people and companies of won and open deals out of your campaigns.

What it does

What arteemis writes to Attio

  • The person, asserted by email address, with the name, job title, phone and LinkedIn profile arteemis holds.
  • Their company, asserted by domain (by name without one), linked to the person.
  • Each email, LinkedIn message and reply, and each accepted invitation, as a note on the person.
  • A pipeline move in arteemis, as a deal of the Deals object in the status you map it to, owned by the Attio member who connected.
  • Never an email address arteemis knows to be invalid or bounced, and never how an address was verified.

What arteemis reads from Attio

  • Won and open deals: a status with its celebration on (the default Won) is won, the default Lost is lost, any other is open.
  • Your lists of people, to import one into arteemis.
  • The statuses of the Deals object, to map the arteemis stages to them.

The people and companies of won and open deals stay out of your campaigns. They are read once an hour (and at once when you connect), by email address and by company domain, never by the domain of a free mailbox such as gmail.com. A campaign passes over them without sending anything; once the deal is lost, their sequence resumes. Messages you write yourself from the inbox are not affected.

Requirements

  • The owner or admin role in your arteemis workspace: only they connect integrations.
  • An Attio member allowed to install apps in the Attio workspace.
  • The Deals object switched on in Attio (by an Attio workspace admin) for deals and exclusions. Without it, arteemis still writes people, companies and notes.
  • The access arteemis asks for: records (read and write), objects and lists configuration (read), notes (read and write), list entries (read), workspace members (read).

Set it up

Connect

  1. 1Sign in to arteemis and open Settings > Integrations.
  2. 2Under CRM, choose Connect on the Attio card.
  3. 3Attio opens: choose the Attio workspace and allow the access arteemis asks for.
  4. 4You land back on Settings > Integrations. The card reads Connected to, followed by your Attio workspace's name. arteemis reads your won and open deals right away.

Choose the settings

  1. 1Choose Settings on the Attio card. Each change is saved at once.
  2. 2Keep customers and open deals out of campaigns is on at first; the sheet says how many addresses and domains are kept out.
  3. 3Under Deals, for each arteemis stage, pick the Attio deal status it becomes. A stage left on Not written writes no deal.
  4. 4Under Import a list, pick an Attio list of people and choose Import: its people arrive in the arteemis list of the same name, up to 20,000 contacts.

Disconnect

  • In Settings > Integrations, choose Settings on the Attio card, then Disconnect at the bottom, and confirm.
  • arteemis revokes its Attio token and deletes the connection, its settings, the list of Attio records it made and the addresses and domains it kept out. Nothing more is written to Attio, and its won and open deals no longer stay out of your campaigns.
  • What was already written in Attio stays there, and people imported from an Attio list stay in arteemis.

Troubleshooting

The settings say there is no deal pipeline
The Deals object is switched off in your Attio workspace. An Attio admin switches it on in Attio's objects settings; deals and exclusions then work.
Messages show as notes, not as emails
Attio does not take emails logged by an app: arteemis writes each message as a note on the person, with its text.
Moving a contact creates no deal
The arteemis stage is not mapped to a deal status. Check Deals in the settings.
The card reads Access revoked
Attio refused the token: the app was removed from the Attio workspace. Choose Reconnect.
